Please ensure that you have not been or are currently on Accutane or any other prescription acne medication for at least 1 year. Do not take Aspirin, Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen or blood thinners, unless medically necessary, 72 hours prior to your procedure.
You MUST be off Retin-A or Retinols for 7 days prior to your appointment and avoid using on or around the area for 30 days after.
Please try to avoid any alcohol, energy drinks, or coffee the day before and after your treatment.
Do not tan or sunbathe 30 days before and after the procedure. If you get your eyebrows waxed, threaded, or tinted, please have this done at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled procedure. It is recommended to wait at least 14 days to have them waxed or threaded & 30 days to have them tinted after the procedure.
Please avoid chemical peels, Botox, microdermabrasion procedures, mesotherapy, or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 4 weeks before your procedure.
It is highly recommended to come to your appointment without makeup and with clean hair.
Please ensure to wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds before cleaning your brows. 2-3 hours after treatment, gently clean the area with a small amount of sterile water on a cotton pad, just barely damp, NOT wet. Do this 2-4 times on the day of your treatment to avoid build-up of lymph on the area.
Do not let any water, sweat, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 10 days after your procedure.
Itching/flaking may appear during the first 7 days post-procedure. Avoid picking or scratching.
After 4 days, gently apply a VERY thin layer of the post-care ointment with a sterile cotton swab and clean hands. Continue to apply for 7 days. CAUTION: Applying too thick a layer of ointment will delay healing. A thinner layer is recommended to allow your skin to breathe.
Use a fresh, clean pillowcase after your treatment and avoid sleeping on your eyebrows/face.
After fully healed, applying SPF on your eyebrows is recommended to ensure color retention and longevity.
Make sure to avoid long, hot showers for at least 10 days or until your eyebrows have fully healed. Avoid getting your eyebrows wet when showering. Protective shower visors are recommended (can be found on Amazon).
Smoking will cause pigment to fade pre-maturely and anesthetics will not last as long.
Avoid the following until at least 3 days post-procedure:
Light work outs. Additional cleansing/ointment session is required after your workout. Do not participate in intense work-outs involving increased sweating until your eyebrows have fully healed.
Avoid the following until 14 days post-procedure:
Increased sweating, practicing sports, swimming, hot sauna, hot bath, jacuzzi, picking/peeling/scratching of the area in order to avoid scarring or removal of the pigment, performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris, heavy drinking (as it may lead to slow healing of wounds), driving in open air vehicles (convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles), touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing/applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab.
Avoid the following until 1 month post-procedure:
Facials, Botox, any laser/chemical/exfoliant/peeling treatments, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or glycolic acid on the treatment area, sun/salon tanning, exposure to UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading, and brow growth enhancement products.
